Oral arguments were heard Feb. 4th before the MT Supreme Court and we expect a ruling in the next 3-6 months. House bill HB43, which would allow the governor to grant clemency even without a recommendation by the Board of Pardons and Parole, has passed out of Senate Judiciary and is awaiting action by the full Senate. The votes so far have been favorable and we expect this bill to reach the governor for signature soon.

I am curious to know if every member of the full Senate have had the opportunity to read all of Barry Beaches transcripts of the murder of Kim Neis of Poplar. This man has denied murdering her even though at the age of 17 he was coerced into a full confession, yet none of the things he said matched what happened that night. 30 plus years he has waited & waited & prayed & done everything legally possible to right this horrendous wrong yet the powers that be keep dragging their feet. Why is it so difficult for people who have made errors in committing him to prison now come forward & admit their errors & overturn the injustice that has been done. The guilty went free while Barry gave up his whole life. Please Governor, if you have any decency turn this travisty of justice around. Thank you
